I agree! That is why I have been creating stories featuring augmented. They are fictional tales, but it is difficult to make a story enjoyable without showing how the characters' actions are plausible and allowing the reader to relate to them.
The citizens are certainly curious about us. Though they do not seem overly interested in our worlds, they are about our lives as augmented! And many from the lower class seem frustrated with their situation in much the same way that we are. They have also been given roles they had little choice in and are made to pay for the mistakes they had no power to prevent.
[Serving customers at And More lets her see those frustrations. Perhaps because she is not from Karteria, they are relatively open about what they are looking for and their reasons, and she reads between the lines where she can.]
